Caught these on the trail cam a few nights ago.
caryc: Believe me I have shot several pickup loads of coyotes in my time and still enjoy it, but these kind of photos are much harder to get than a dead coyote. I find it more challenging and gratifying to photograph them. I must say that I have never been treated to so many so close and me just sitting in my car under a mesquite tree !! What a hoot. Dr.C

doccash: Yes it is more challenging to get a shot like that with a camera than it is with a gun. I just don't get any kicks out of looking at pics of dead coyotes.
There are coyotes in my area that will come and eat scraps if I throw them out the door. I don't shoot them. I would rather see them alive.
They do nothing to harm me personally. If they did, I would nave no problem shooting them. I don't begrudge other people shooting varmints if that's what they want to do. I just don't get a kick out of killing anything.

I don't get a "kick" out of killing anything.
I have, and will continue to kill varmints that threaten to damage my property or pose a threat to me or my family, and have in the past killed game animals and eaten them.
That said, these days we usually just watch most critters, so long as they mind their manners. We have deer and turkeys in the yard quite frequently, and see the occasional fox, coyote, 'coon, 'possum, skunk, etc.
Groundhogs are shot on sight as they dig up everything, particularly the foundation of buildings. If I see them out in the woods, away from the dooryard, they get a free pass.
Please keep the photos coming.

I don't get a kick out of killing just for killing either but I would rather keep my calves and chickens out of the bellies of foxes, coytoes, coons, skunks, possums and feral cats & dogs.

Ok, I knew people would take it the wrong way. Squirrels on my property get shot on site. I've had two sets of ignition wires eaten out of a car.
