By the way,,,,,,,, DON'T PISS HER OFF!!!!!!

I never intentionally piss off a woman. Great pics that girl sure can handle that bis bore. Is that a typo 700gr,? That is sure hurling a chunk o lead I bet the recoil is stout. ps

Sorry to say I think that is Not Cool. :( :(

...Jimbo

Other than no eye protection, I don't think I would start a kid out on a big boomer like #1 and #3 seem to be, especially from a rest. That last shot had to hurt.

Maybe he advised against it and she wanted to do it anyway. As long as he did not make her do it, I do not see a problem with it.

Not a good idea to let the butt rest on anything. Don't ask me how I found out that your pinky might get pinched. ;)

He never said this was the first time she shot, she may have been shooting for number of years before shooting these guns. I don't see any problems with this other than the glasses. Too bad more girls don't have dads who teach them to do stuff like this.

Keep those pictures handy to show to possible suitors :)

I don't see where the OP stated that this was her first time shooting.

Look at the pics dudes, She is not a Pilgrim at shootin' this stuff. She knows what she is doing. Well maybe, other than the hand between the table and the grip shot. Great pics.
Chief aka Maxx Load

700 grain NOT a typo,,,, Richard Gibson out of Alaska sells them,,,, Google RANGER RICK.

Not her first time shooting, she grew up around it.

Yeah yeah,, safety first,,, we all know this but,,,,, I really didn't want this to turn into a flame about lenses.

I have some of the 700grain 500's loaded up for my 500. I was supprized how little they recoiled out of my 4" gun. A awesome looking load for sure. They fill the cylinder almost completely. I haven't shot but a few of mine I only ordered 50 to try them out.

If her hand gets tender she just switches,,,,,, yeah,,,, the old man can't do that,,,

480 in the pic,, actually my 44 mag is the worst.

This is my 45 Officers lightweight 80

I have yet to find some true MAX loads for the gun,,, it's rated @ 60,000psi and I have yet to find any at that level.

My gun has no flutes either so I really want to test it at max, what's the point if you can't do that? Because the 500 is about a worthless firearm unless you're shooting Grizzleys and it's probably overkill there too.

The ONLY reason this caliber sells is we ALL want that rush of shooting it!!

Not "we ALL" ... Just some of "you" guys/gals :) . I like my medium loads in .44 and .45 much better thank you very much. :)

I did the 'pinky' squash once too. No need to repeat.

Actually you can't see it in the pic but there is a foam pad on that rest under your hand position, I've never pinched anything on it and shot 1000's of rounds off it.

Great picks Benchrest. Except for #3 she looks to me like she's done it before and doesn't look the least uncomfortable. Great shots right at the point of ignition. GOOD FOR HER!!!

Somehow I am sure that your daughter must hate you for making her shoot them hand cannons!!!

Or, have you ever been arrested for child abuse???

I think it's great that you and your daughter spend time together..........and enjoy it :D

Couple things about my daughter,,,,

She could teach most of you a few lessons on "hard headed",,,,,,,,,
She does pretty much what she wants when she wants,

She left high school and started at PURDUE as a Sophomore,,,,,
So she generally has a good understanding of her risks if not she'll ask and determine her own answer.

She just came home tonight for Spring Break,, she'll spend most of the week working with 2 different very specialized Veterinarians (her goal) rather than getting drunk on some beach. She already has job offers and offers to pay for her Vet Schooling for a commitment.

So we'll just say I'm not steering the boat anymore it took off VERY straight a good while back and I expect her to do much better than myself

BUT when she wants I give her my opinion otherwise I keep it to myself (remember the first thing I noted about my daughter)

So she is QUITE in control of her life and I am not complaining one bit.

My wife considers the 44 Maggie to be the ideal purse gun. She packs a 2" SW model 629. She also owns other 44 maggies including her first love,a Super Blackhawk. Great shooting. My wife would appreciate her shooting.
