I have a KP95PR and would like to convert it to a DC model (like my P89). I also wouldn't mind getting a blued slide instead of my stainless. Has anyone done this using factory parts only? I assume it is possible, as the P95 was available as a DC model at one time. Thoughts?

I have heard it can't be done to the 89 model but plan to look into it as soon as I get my newest unit.

I would think the frame would be the same for all but who knows.

Sorry no real help huh.

If you figure something out post it up.

I have done this with P90 to P90DC simply by swapping the manual safety slide for the correct decock only slide. From the information I see, I would think that the P95 would be the same.

Check out -www.gunpartscorp.com- for slide availability. Right now when I looked they had a listing for both blued and stainless decock-only slides. Be sure you are looking under P95DC (and not P95 or P95DAO) when you select a slide to order.

For those looking to convert a P90 to P90DC, gunpartscorp.com lists a P90DC slide (stainless) assembly, but they have been out of stock for months. If anyone is interested in a P90DC slide, I have one listed in the current classifieds here.
