I like snakes and I think that crosshatched pattern is very attractive.

want to thank y'all for the replies, I was brought up killing any snake until I was old enough to think for myself and realized that some critters, even snakes, are beneficial. I'll still kill a copperhead, they are surely not endangered here. But I'm also pretty sure we have two snakes living in or near our house.... one in the attic and one down in my 'fort' which is the covered area I keep most of my junk in. That one is a king snake about 5 ft long.
