I always enjoy trying to capture good photos of rivers, creeks and lakes.
This is one of my best. There is a story with this one.

Up in the higher elevations of Colorado.
I made my way down the hillside to get a good view.
After I took the photo I noticed a shabby old pickup parked above me.
An Indian gentleman with 3 small kids got out of the truck and he proceeded to climb down the hill to the creek. He filled a large mug with the fresh water and climbed back up and gave each of the kids a good drink.
Although I thought that was unusual it was just routine with them.

I never forgot that.

I miss Colorado now and then. Graduated from Colorado State University in '88 and shot my first deer while there. Thanks God my folks and sister live there so I have an excuse to visit.

I'll see your one and raise you two :D :D :D
Where did you take that GREAT picture?
The South Fork of the Rio Grande along Hwy 160 going into South Fork CO looks like that.

Well,
This is where Wifie and I will be in a couple of hours with fishing rods in hand. Big Meadows Reservoir about 10 miles West of South Fork CO. :D :D :D

If no luck there we will go to this one.

Once more you have managed to make me homesick for a place I've never been. For some reason that reminds me of one of the songs my late uncle played with great regularity...

Columbine Columbine blue in the Rockies will you miss me when I go away?

Thanks for the post. I do like hiking in Colorado.

A little east of Mount Evans (southwest of Denver).

I've taken so many photos in Colorado I just can't remember them all, or at my age, any.
I would guess that was in the Durango area.
