Coating: Worth the Money?

Have an early 70's 10/22, some drop-in mods: shoots great, but am thinking of getting whole thing CeraKoted(or one of the other coatings). Wanted to know others thoughts on this-worth expense; any change in performance; any clearance issues?
Any thoughts/ideas appreciated!
