Just read where Cheyenne died today. He was 91. Just this afternoon I watched an episode of his show. A few days ago I watched Night of the Grizzly. Always liked him. Thanks for the memories.

My oldest brother Bryan somehow knew him casually back in the 1960s when he was stationed in California. Bryan said "... What you see is what he is. In person, he's exactly like what you see on screen..." I never did find out if Bryan thought that was a good or a bad thing. ;) But I think Bryan liked him. Bryan was a very earthy fellow, and would certainly have been most comfortable with other earthy folks, regardless of their stations in life.

RIP Mr. Walker...

A few years ago there was a post here of how he had financial problems and resorted to selling some of his personal stuff. That sounded so sad.

Well, he is in a better place now. RIP Cheyenne.

Premonition.

Last night or the night before, I was thinking about him as I was trying to go to sleep, wondering how he was doing as I was sure he was still with us.

My grandmother was a great fan of him back in the late 1950s and 1960. She never missed his show. She died in 1960.

Cheyenne Bodie.

I believe he had a bad accident on snow skis that nearly killed him but he was evidently one tough old hombre.

RIP

I watched dirty dozen last night. He shopped at the Costco in Sacramento talked to him several times over the years. He was always friendly.

When I was growing up watching westerns on TV in the 60's I never knew how big he was.... then I saw him chopping wood in the Grizzly movie and dern....

Yes, his ski pole penetrated his chest and damaged his heart sac. RIP Clint.

This is my wife and Clint about six or seven years ago, and yes my wife is a big girl too. She told him she was in love with him when a girl. He thanked her and said that's what kept him eating. He always was my favorite too. Sizing him up, I would say he, my dad and one uncle were all about the same size, 6ft five. Like my dad, with advanced age both shrunk down a little when I took the picture. I used to be a Universal movie Studio guard back around 1964 for awhile and knew a number of western actors and Clint was my favorite.

I've watched the national news & not seen anything about his passing,,, yet,,, they can post the passing of many folks I've never heard of.

He should get national recognition because he was a well known actor & a genuine person.

Someone on the colt site said Mark Levin just did a very nice farewell to his friend Clint Walker in his opening monologue. I didn't get to see it. Maybe it can be googled?
