Hi, I'm new to reloading so I need some help. I want to load a 124g-fmj with Clays powder. The web site does not list this combo. It does list somthing close.
Thanks for your help, Mike

125g-fmj 3.5-3.7

It is generally safe to use data for a heavier bullet with a lighter one. DO check more than one source though, then use the lightest published starting load to work your way up. You might try contacting the bullet manufacturer, or Hodgdon, they are usually very helpful with load info.

Good advice. That 125gr Sierra FMJ start load will probably be very close to what you need. Make up a few and see how they cycle your gun. :D

I feel that Clays is too 'fast' for ideal 9x19 ammo.
I feel most all 'fast' choices less than ideal for the 9x19.

I instead recommend choices in the AA5 / HS6 / WAP / Silhouette / 3N37 / Universal / Unique / Power Pistol range for their safer charge weight range, and bulkiness inside the case.

Thanks, I knew I could count on you guys!
Now, how does this work? light bullet heavier charge, heavier bullet lighter charge? Fast or slow powder more or less pressure? Yep! :?
