If you are going by their web site, it is possible that that gun shipped later then what the serial number says it should. Maybe the original cylinder was lost and the gun was sent back to the factory for a replacement cylinder after 1976 when they started making the non fluted cylinders. I guess we will never know. Yeah, "The main rule is, there are no rules". I'll call Monday. I bought the gun new with the non-fluted cylinder but can't pinpoint the year. I also thought it unusual to have the last 5 numbers from the serial # etched on it. All my others only have the last three #s.
