Some here have read about my seven years of trying to make my Single Seven reliable.
Today I finally tried the last Wolf 18 pound hammer spring. Unfortunately there were some pierced primers and light strikes.
While reinstalling the Wolf 19 pound spring I realized I could have been more organized during the process.
I tried seven different springs all packaged and kept in the original package during testing.
However if just one spring were to escape or if I put a spring in the wrong package test results would be off.
In the future I will measure the length of each spring while in the package. Note any color diffence and perhaps measure coil thickness. Keep this information in a journal for future reference.
Why do the extra work? Well I have two packages that say original SS spring. I know which one is the real deal. Just saying having so many springs and no back up information can be a bit confusing.:(
