Purchased oversized Belt mountain pin. Have trouble inserting. I have to play around and it finally goes in. Would chamfering hole slightly help? Is it possible to break edge slight with paper or is this a poor idea?

If it does go in with a little work, I would leave it. After all, how often do you remove the cylinder anyway.

nothing wrong with chamfering the center pin hole, easy enough to do ,by hand , with a chamfer reamer or even use an oversized drill bit and do the same thing , a few twists, around the front edge...........all you are doing is 'breaking' the edge..................

Use a counter sink and just touch it. A tiny bit is all that is needed.

I would think keeping it to a bare minimum would be best, as to not create a "funnel" to channel dirt in to the base pin hole.

I remove mine ever time I clean the gun.
