I bought a beater stainless steel .357 Magnum Ruger Blackhawk many years ago.
Mechanically, it's perfect.
Cosmetically, it's pretty rough.
That's why I bought it.
I fitted a 9mm cylinder several years ago.
I also added a high polish stainless steel birdshead grip frame.
I looked for at least a year for a stainless steel 9mm cylinder, and eventually settled for blued because that was available.
After fitting the cylinder, it had some bare metal.
I sent the blued carbon steel cylinder out for Mil-Spec early WW2 parkerizing. Fifty bucks to get it parkerized.
