Beautiful bird. I've seen small flocks here in Ky on two occasions but it's rare. Apparently migrating and off course a bit.

We have those birds show up when the holly tree is dropping it's berries. They hang out, pick the tree clean and that's the last we see of them until the tree is ready to drop again.
Beautiful picture by the way... My photo's are like that also, only blurry, less resolution and of general poor quality..lol... All kidding aside, fantastic photo.

Some years ago one of my sister-in-laws cats brought her a baby Ceder Waxwing. It was still alive but barely. She nursed it back to health but by then it was too tame and inexperienced to turn loose so it became a family pet. It was really a character, in to everything and would even take a shower with you. It lived to be almost 10 years old.
I've had them show up to eat the blooms off my apple trees a time or two, but not in the last 2-3 years. Nice shot!

Doc- My wife says they come through Canyon and spend only three or less days then they are gone. She likes them....She says they have a distinctive "Peep, Peep, Peep".

Yes, they are beautiful little birds ! I used to see them all of the time in Louisiana when I was a kid !
