Cataract replacement lenses

We are researching cataract surgery for the wife. The last time on one eye it was botched so there is a lot of apprehension. Her vision is very bad because she was an oxygen baby in the 1950s.
We found the following. Amazing product and definitely a breakthrough. Butt he insurance doesn't cover the lens.

Insurance pays for the surgery, we get to pay for the $5,000 +- Lens.
We are considering it and working on the money. Her vision is 20/300 in the remaining eye, so we need to try to swing for the fences on this one.

Your health isn’t anything to get cheap on. If you feel confident this new lens will help your wife then I would do my best to raise the money to get it done.

After the lens is adjustable after it is inserted. You can wear it and ask for adjustments until the desired version and that setting is locked in.

Wow, that sounds great! I'm healing up from my 3rd cataract surgery.(1st two operations failed). This one seems to be going good though. I read one line better than 20/20 the other day, with my glasses. I should be able to shoot again soon. Lots of bad reflections, but doc said a laser operation might help with that. And hoping high eye pressure goes down also. My lens was put in using the Yamani technique and a 3 piece lens.

My buddy is headed to NYC in a week for the LAL surgery. I believe he said they can make up to four adjustments beginning a couple weeks after surgery. Amazing technology.

Please keep me posted the best you can. I would like to keep track. My wife is already blind (almost) in one eye and we can't screw this up.
