Career change/prayers please.

Folks I go to a job interview tomorrow at 1:30. This will be a return to my former career as LEO. My wife says the kids need a daddy more than the $$$ I make. Big cut in pay, but she is right!! My children come first, but I'm nervous.... If you have time raise my name in prayer, that the proper doors will open. Will

When I was 40, I got laid off in Real Estate. Wife suggested I go back to school. Went back to college and earned a B.S. in Marine Biology and an M.S. in Animal Behavior. Took all our savings and some loans. Ate mostly on an elk, a mulie and a couple of hogs for almost 5 years. Out of work for another year, then got a job with the Feds at the other end of the state. Fifteen years later, it was the best decision I ever made.

Age?? As a retired LEO I don't know what you left it for but I never figure being a LEO as providing more time with the family. Shift, shift changes, over time, call out, schools, court, DAs conference and all the rest. I figure 60 hours a week on average often well in excess of 80.

BUT if it's what you want and you perceive it as getting more family time, go for it and good luck.
