Hi Wish I could go back in 1994 I went too The Stones River battle ground in Murfreesboro Tn and got to see a cannon demonstration talk about loud and smokey what an experience :D :D

I should be able to make it. Been to the last two and both time GRAMPS met me there and we had a great time. Tip, If you arrive early Friday, When you register/pay put your designation as "cannoneer". Sorry bout spelling. That will get you a backstage pass as "help". You might even get to fire a cannon as GRAMPS did 2 years ago! You may be asked to help set up targets, unload cannons from trailers, or if a battery is short a man actually get dressed and be a part of the fun. Registering that way gives you access to areas not allowed to the general viewing public. My friend Steve Cameron is the one responsible for this event, as well as many other folks. Steve builds cannons for a living and stays very busy.
It is NRA sponsored and you will have to sign a wavier.
You will meet many very friendly folks from all over the eastern US. Kinda like a East coast Ruger forum gathering but with big cannons. Most of the cannon owners are in the high income bracket but you'd never know by talking to them. They are down to earth common folks that share a passion. Actually GRAMPS talks above most of them, and he is really super friendly, educated
great guy. I reckon these guys drop their education and speak true to how they really are.
Yo GRAMPS! Love ya brother, your a great guy, but you need to relax and go simple redneck speak when there. You'll have a better time just being.
There is a motel 10 minutes from the shoot that it normally under $50 a night and they still have smoking rooms if that is your thing.
This would be a good time for those Ruger forum members to enjoy big guns as well as a meet and greet.
I encourage all members close enough to attend.
