Can anyone ID this car?

I went to a small street car show yesterday with my 2 youngest grandkids. Lots of cool cars! I walked around this car on both sides and the front and saw no indication as to what it was I was looking at. I didn't walk around the rear because they had a trailer hooked up to it.

I told the wife that I'm stumped as to what make this car was, and she told me. I said: It's a what??? If I'd have looked at the rear of the car it would have told me the make and the year.

I wish I'd have taken more pics, but it was hot out there in the sun.

This is a USA made car.

So, can anyone tell me the make of this car without cheating by using an app?

Fuzzy image, but the hood ornament appears to be a Pontiac. Once a car is modded who knows what parts may be added.

I wonder if that rear door really clears the fender. Not a good angle to show the true depth of the fender but it looks suspicious.

I second the thought that it's a Packard. Honestly. I was going to type that even before reading Ride1949's answer.

My grandpa had a Packard. I've been told it's now in some museum in Nebraska.

Like the OP says: It's Made in USA, MI to be exact. It's not a car made by the Big 3.

I'd never heard of this car brand until I saw this one. It was made from the 20's until sometime in the 40's. It's not very clear.

Hint: The car brand starts with one of the first 10 letters of the alphabet. Meaning, Chevrolet would be what this car brand is called, not Camaro.

They were so cool! They let all of us sit in the driver's seat.

I had a hard time getting my legs under the steering wheel. The owner said he did, too. He and his wife were my age and you could tell they were thrilled that all three of us took such interest in their car. Car folks love to talk about their cars.

It has a 350 Chevy in it. I asked him if the tiny 8" or so wiper blades were still vacuum operated. He said when he bought it it did, but now they're electric.

Good grief, this pic makes me look like I'm about to drop a 68# baby, and I've lost 30#
