Calling all .32

How do you like the Taurus? I’ve been thinking about one…
The one I have is the PT99. It's the same gun as a PT92 but with an adjustable rear sight. One of the pros is it has a a safety that works just like a 1911. Not sure why Beretta went with the Walther type safety on the slide but it consider it ass backwards. You can carry mine just like the 1911 in condition one if you prefer that method.
Cons? Well, at least on mine the trigger pull is way too stiff on double action and is fairly heavy in the single action mode as well. The sights aren't too bad and if it weren't for that stiff trigger I think that the P9P/PT99 would be a decent shooter at the range. With a full magazine (15 rounds) it's a pretty heavy piece which makes recoil rather mild Most people mistake it for the beretta M92 or M9 in the military version. Frankly, if one disregards the trigger pull weight, then I think it just might be better than the Beretta. Naturally, YMMV.

I believe the Taurus in question is the 327?

I also own a Taurus PT99 Stainless, but folks with large paws tend to inadvertantly drop the mag while using two hand holds. The extended operating controls are a blessing for folks with tiny paws, not so much for those with large paws. It would be great if Taurus offered either the PT92 or 99 in .32 ACP, but so far I haven't heard of that offering?

Supposedly the Single Seven .327 revolvers will shoot the .32acp.
Is that correct?

Or is it the SP101 .327?

both will shoot them , because they are semi-rimmed , there is enough rim to hold them in place in either gun BUT there is not enough rim to let the extractor star catch all of them so when you pouch them out usually a couple will need to be grab by fingers

Have heard for years that some brands/lots of 32acp has enough rim, and some 32 s&w/hr chambers are tight enough to hold them, and in others the acp wont stop until it gets to the chamber shoulder. Havent tried it myself yet.

I own a Taurus 92.... it's a fine firearm.... accurate and reliable.. my trigger is fine for a service gun.... The beretta 92 started out with a frame mounted 1911 style safety... the army wanted a decocker, so they redesigned it... I was in while the trails were going on, and a guy in my company had an early beretta with the frame safety... It was being sold commercially at the time...

Beretta makes a 92 tiny version in 32 acp. The model 81... or at least they did...
