BX-25 Magazine Question

The wife would like a 25 round magazine for her 10/22 but it worried that because the spring tension on the 10 round magazine is pretty stiff for her to load the last round that she won't be able to load the 25 round mag. So, I guess my question is how stiff is the BX-25 to load compared to the 10 round rotary magazine?

I'd say no harder... and on most mags that last round is tuff.... So, unless you are going into a fire fight*... suggest she just load 9 in the 10 rounder and maybe 22-23 in the 25?

Of course for the large mags like this there are magazine loaders... they take some getting used to but are pretty easy on loading...

I found it fairly easy to load 15 rounds in the 25.

I feel no little to no difference between the tension of loading a 10 or 25 round 10/22 mag. As mentioned, though, loading only 9, or only 20, may also help in your wife's case.
On other mags I rarely load more than 15 into a 20, or 20 into a 30 because those last few rounds are much more difficult for my arthritic fingers.

Go on line to HC3R and look at their 25 rounder. It has a pull down plunger to allow the shells to just drop in. They work very well in my 10-22s. www.hcmags.com

All I needed was the mags, I bought 3 of them, and they all run flawlessly in my 10-22. Really haven't used the "stripper clips" tho. I think with 25 in the mag feed and 20 more in the stripper, it is pretty heavy and might cause latching problems. Haven't tried that out yet. But the workmanship is top notch IMHO.
