Burris pistol scope help.

I have an old Burris 2-7-x 32 pistol scope, nickel finish.
On the bottom left on the turret there is a cover, under the cover is a slotted screw.
What is this for??

I bought the scope years ago, I searched the Burris web site with no luck. It is not on their scopes anymore.

Only one? Generally there are two. One changes the point of aim up and down, the other side to side.

I should be more clear. The scope has the windage and elevation turrets but it has a 3rd cap. on on the bottom left.
Under the cap is a slotted head screw.
I'm guessing this is to lock the other adjustments so they can't move under recoil.

If the third turret is "offset" as you noted "on the bottom left", I'm fairly sure this is correct and the third screw is for "locking' the adjustments. The "whippy" recoil of the handgun forces the adjustment tube inside the scope body away from the adjustment screws so the locking screw holds the tube against those screws.

If it looks like the Posi-Lock scope adjustment from Burris with the external cap, I think the current handgun scopes still have this feature, but it seems to now be a recessed grub screw in approximately the same location. Reviews I read online complained the third "turret" interfered with scope mounting, probably the reason for the change.

Thanks I downloaded Burris' owners manual and there is no mention of this. I haven't used the scope in years and am getting ready to mount it on a GP100 327 fed mag

That 3rd is a lock. Just snug after adjusting Wind. Or Elevation. I have a couple of these. Supposed to help with big bore recoil. Remember to loosen before adjusting
