Break In Question

Depends on who you talk to, and what gun you're talking about.
Guns will definitely wear at a much, much, much higher rate in the first rounds, and then not so much after that unless you've had something break.
Whether or not you would consider this a "break in" period... or if it even does have a noticeable difference depends on the gun, shooter, and initial tolerances during construction.

I know for certain that my SR9c needed to be "Broken-in" Some problems at first but after a few hundred rounds and a few good cleanings, she worked much better. After about 600 rounds, the slide spring started to get easier to pull on, and after about 100 rounds the gun feels like a dream to shoot.

No specific Break-In Period that I've actually heard or read about, but I generally run 300 Rounds through each of my guns, before I consider it, "Broken-In".
The 300 Rounds that I run through, are all WWB Target Ammo. After I've reached the 300 Rounds, and if it's going to be a Home Defense/Concealed Carry Gun, I'll run another 50 Rounds of Federal LE HST 147gr through it, just to make sure it'll shoot each and every time, without any FTL's/FTF's/FTE's. Just my personal, "Break-In".
Once each gun passes the Test, I'll continue to load it with WWB Target Ammo for the Range, Clean it thoroughly after each Range Visit, then Re-Load it at home with Personal Defense Rounds if it's a Home Defense/CC Gun. I keep a Round-Count Sheet at home, just so I can keep up with what I shoot. I don't want to make my other guns jealous!

Some of the SR9 fullsize are a uh humm..little tight.
About 200rounds should do it. I only had to break in my FS92..after the pistol starts to operate as advertised I miltec the hell out of the pistol per on bottle directions...good to go..CLP there after.

What kind of ammo were you using? For some odd reason, several people have had issues with the Winchester White Box ammo. (Myself included) I switched to Federal and never had a problem with it, not to mention it's cheaper too.
My SR9c needed a break in period. Had several stove pipes in the first 100 rds of WWB. I ran some RSW 124 grain ammo through it and since then it will eat anything with no trouble. I know some others had the same issue I did but not everyone.
