Did Ruger ever make a brass frame Single Six? Found a 1981 SS withdraws frame. If they did not make it. What would none factoring be worth?

I was also looking at it, I think it is an aftermarket Super adapted to it.(ugly fake cracked pearl grips)..would make a good shooter for sure, price isn't too bad @ $400 asking..room to deal and open to trades...

If it had a nice set of grips I would have already went to get it.

Ruger didn't ship any Single-Sixes with the brass g/f installed to my knowledge. But,,, they can be added easily enough.
Pull the grips off & check for factory markings,,, MR3-DB and if so,,, figure in at least $250 for the g/f in good shape. If it has the wide Super trigger,,, even better. But,,, deduct the cost of a replacement correct g/f & trigger.
If it's an aftermarket g/f,,, then figure $150-$200 for one of those.

Ruger did play with the thought of a brass frame on a Single-Six, although none are known to have been shipped from the factory that way...and remember, when it was offered the brass Dragoon style grip frame was only offered on the 3-screw Old Model Blackhawk and Super Blackhawk models.
There is a picture that appeared in the mid to late 1960's that shows a brass frame Single-Six laying on a piece of furniture in WBR's office (his rolltop desk?).
