Boston Blue -- a big disappointment

Well, I am once again in the minority. If I wanted to take a doze in my chair I put on Blue Bloods. Truly boring. Selleck? Pleasant enough, but you could almost predict his expressions before he made them. Turnen into a stump. Got bored of it quickly-.

The new show? First, with that name and Wahlberg, we already KNEW it was more of the same. They simply HAD to copy in the the family dinner bit. Yes, it's been modified, but it's still just a rehash. This show has a bit more action and slightly better writing, but it's still in the "crossover" phase. It's barely possible that once it becomes it's own show- if it can stay on that long- it may improve.

As with any fictional TV show, all the "messages" go past me. I watch to be entertained, not lectured.

I'm waiting for Danny to get remarried..... only we can expect that his new bride will not be Irish, or white, it will need to be of the new-order approved marriage - if anyone gets my drift . . . . . 🫣

the truth is that while the general public hate police, almost 50% of all tv shows are police related - fact.... go figure

That's because people like the idea of the valiant police officer protecting the weak and downtrodden. Then we discover the sad reality that many cops are corrupt Rosie O'Donnel bullies and those who aren't won't do anything because they don't want to rock the boat.

for some reason you seem to believe that the leo's on the street have the ultimate power to investigate and bring charges and such..... your world must be so sweet 🤣

They can get the ball rolling but they don't. I've been told "It's not my job to report crimes by cops" and "If I report the bad cops they won't back me up."

I'm wondering, how many crooked, corrupt, bent cops have you reported?

well, I guess those people you spoke with need to examine their own closet..... as to how many I've reported, had suspended, seen terminated, I highly doubt you'd take my word for it, so I won't bother . . . . but, you feel free to take the word of your contacts, and know that you're obviously in good company ... 🤔

After reading the "thread" on California lawlessness, I thought the crew of the series "Rookie" suggests that the crime in LA/California is well under the thumb of LEOs. This is all a fantasy of the Hollywood. In the Fall we are going to be subjected to NCIS NY. I have to say, I am enjoying "Marshalls" for the scenery in lieu of the drab streets of Gotham.

y'all know I'm the liberal leftist wokie one here but I do have to agree with y'all that this whole TV show thing of mixed up marriages and such has gotten way too over the top... I've been seeing it on the British detective / mystery shows of late that my wife and I watch.... I swear that the British productions must be getting some kind of tax cut for having 'divergent' characters on the shows... Some really bizarre stuff at times... the detective show Shakespeare and Hathaway they got hired by a young woman who had a speech impediment so bad you could not understand most of what she said.... On Sister Boniface the newspaper reporter is a dwarf and his boss has two deformed arms....

I will say that Yaworski's description of the new Boston Blue show's various characters was really funny.
Now I do have to disagree with his opinion of most LEOs. In my limited experience most are good honest and brave and the most important part is they are doing a job that not only is unfortunately necessary but one that I could never do.
