Book Karma: "The Old Men" (Winner Picked)

I tried to find the member post here that mentioned this book a few months ago. I bought one knowing that after I read it I would offer it here on the forum.
To be honest, I was tempted to just send it to a member but the issue is I have several choices and can't decide and so I'm going to place it as a karma.
Now the deal is I will draw a name late Tomorrow on thanksgiving .... because I am truly thankful to be a member here.

for those that don't know, this is a book written by a minister about the things he learned growing up from the various men in his life.
It is 'just a little' on the preachy side but the author is a preacher and so I guess that goes with it.
The book is broken into 1 or 2 page short essays and so it very easy to read.

I got distracted with friends over and so it is now the day after...

I wanted to point out the preachy part for some of you... after every essay he also incudes a quote from the Bible.

Picking a name will be done later today (Friday) unless I get too distracted again... have to figure out how to install an ice maker in the new refrigerator.

I ended up buying a copy and enjoyed reading it. I'm going to gift it to a good friend's grandson, who is graduating high school this spring. Thanks for letting us know about the book.

It's a tad preachy as I said, but is written by a preacher... but the essays are really fun to read. All the different old men in his life as he grew up.
