TALO has two of them, one with a 4.5" bbl and the other is a 6.88" bbl but they both has different grips and Davidsons has a 22/45 with a 5.5" bbl.

Did you buy it new? What's the Model number on it?

The model number is: 10128

The catalog number is: MKIII678H

And yes, I bought it new from my lgs.

I'm digging this post up from the grave to see if anyone has seen another one of these. I Googled blued MK III Hunter today, and all I get are my 3 year old posts in various forms.

If anyone owns another one like mine, please post way.

Thanks

I have the MKIII45H-TA 4.50 Distributor Exclusive .

I've taken the Altemont Rosewood grips off and stuck on some black Ruger stock panels to keep the rosewood from getting messed up.

Think I gave 350.00 for it Had 385 and some change on the case sticker. I bought it from an employee at a dealership..

I've seen some Talo guns, but I've still not seen another factory issued blued Hunter. If there is someone that owns one or seen one, let me know.

I don't believe your 6 7\8" blued Hunter is a standard catalog item for Ruger, meaning it is only available as a Distributor Special, in this case TALO.
I also have one of the 4 1\2" blued TALO Hunter pistols as mentioned in a prior post.
So to be more clear about answering your question, Ruger manufactured these blued Hunters only for TALO to distribute.
