Blackhawk grips

I am having a hard time finding aftermarket grips for my blackhawk. My frame is marked XRN-3. The hogue grips that I got have that frame number but they don't fit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you want a rubber type of grip, then there are only a few makers & options.
However, if you want a set of stocks to fit your hand, compliment your gun, then there are a few FINE stock makers here.
caryc, pvtschultz, & a few others who are members here. ( I can't remember all the names, but there are a couple more!)

Also, more details on the gun can help. Is it possible the gripframe has "XRN-3RED" on it?
It's all in the details.
Also, sometimes the rubber types are not quite "right."

The gun is a stainless 45 colt blackhawk 4 5/8 barrel. The frame is marked XRN-3. That is exactly what is on the frame. If I had my pick I would put on the rubber hogue grips with the finger grooves, but they don't fit.

The stainless .45 would be fitted with XR3-RED grips despite the casting's nomenclature. There are tens of thousands of Ruger revolvers out there with those grips.

I have no idea about rubber baby bumper grips, though. Never had any use for them since they force the shooters hand down and away from the center of the revolver.

The hogue mono grips #83000 won't fit my blackhawk even though my frame # is on description. Please explain your remark about the big rubber grips pushing you hand down away from center. Trying to learn how two shoot the gun consistent . I will have four shots two inch group and then two shots three inches high at 20 yards .

I can't help with any of the rubber grips as I will not use them.
As for holding your gun consistently it just takes practice and attention to details. Concentrate on gripping the gun exactly the same each time and after a while you'll develop muscle memory and it will come naturally.

However if you consistently put 4 in a group and throw 2 then it may not be you, it might be the chamber throats.
If the throats are different diameters it can cause the gun to shoot to different places.

The trick is to number each chamber and shoot a group with each one. Watch where they go. Then measure the throats. Rugers 45s are known for this, but it can happen with other calibers too.
