Bisley Vaqueros

All,
I have a pair of consectively numbered stainless 4 5/8" (large frame) Bisley Vaqueros in .45 Caliber. I am thinking of having these modified with adjustable sights by one of the more reputable gunsmiths. I reload and reallt want to be able to take advantage of multiple bullet weights etc. Will I ruin the value of these guns with such modification?

Since you are shooting them they will not really be collectible anyway. I don't think there will be much of an effect on price, as long as the work is done in a professional manner.

They're already shooters and not collectables. Of course any modifications, especially a permanent one would alter it's value. Depending on who does the work though, that change in value could vary as to which way it goes.

I will wager $10 David Clements did the sights on CraigC's gun. He make thos nice low profile adjsutable while some use S&W sights that tend to set a little taller. I jsut tradeda blued version of CraigC's gun last month only because Ben Forking is doing one with the same sights but an octagon barrel. They are very nice and slick. I'd send it to David himself since he makes the sights and does great work.

Did you buy yours as a shooter or for investment purposes? If the later, you messed up my shooting it anyways. It's not all about the $.
