Bisley question

Found I ruger bisley that is stainless with 5.5" barrel,Has been shot 18 times and like new I have not seen many bisleys and don't know about price the guy wants $500.00 for it good buy or pass on it?In the factory box and all paper work.

What caliber? Sounds like a Accusport Bisley. The are very desirable guns.

Acusport or one of the Williams' ones (same thing, different runs). Either way, depending on which one it is, $500 is a good price. Bottom line is if it's worth that to YOU.

Well I left the caliber out it's a 45 colt and around here used they are about 550.00 to 600.00.

Sorry, no .44 cal convertibles. Darn lucky to find one of the stainless in .44 anyways.

They made some, not many but some. I wanna say 1000. They were the first stainless Bisleys of the "Acusport" series and will command the highest prices of the series. They're out there, but few and far between. One here tucked away with the others but it's staying put.
Might be easier and quicker to simply Bisley-ize a regular SBH. Well, quicker so long as you can locate the Bisley pieces which also are now few and far between.

It's also a .45 not the desired .44 that MG-70 is looking for. Not a bad deal though.

I would look at Gunbroker. I just bought a new one with cylinders in .45 Colt and .45 ACP for $530.00 plus $25.00 shipping.

I use it for both calibers. The ACP cylinder is great for practice and shooting of small critters. Scary accurate!

Unless $55.00 more for a new one with both cylinders and warranty would be a deal breaker.

You didn't have to pay your FFL dealer for their part of the paper work? That usually adds another $15 to $25 to the price of one ordered online.
