Interesting Info to stick in the face of some of your tree-hugger friends...

Wow, it took all of that expense and geniuses to understand what every hunter and land manager has known for thousands of years. You don't overhunt but at the same time you don't let the herd get out of control. A good example is South Carolina, my german shepard is bigger then some of their deer. Why, overpopulation.

I am having to exercise some lead bullet birth control in my (in town) backyard now, due to a bunch of horny deer and "NO HUNTING" regs.

Men sometimes forget the world is a good place and we are part of it. Then they decide they can force the world to bend to their will by playing with a nature they do not fully understand. Nature is called a mother for very good reason.

Selena: I think women do the same. Lets keep sex out of this  . I will never ever call nature "mother". It is to cruel. My mother would never deprive me of water which in turn deprives me of food. I know you say you are country but I am still country and without water we are screwed.

Well that was kind of expensive. Why didn't they just hand out condoms like many universities?

I was using the inclusive "men" as in mankind. If you expect me to go the PC "Personkind" nonsense pack it up and take it elsewhere. If I really have to explain the double entendre of the label "mother" we are both in more trouble than we know what to do with. Don't pick on the sarcasm, it leaves a nasty scar.

As for water, our harvest has been delayed to the point of yield loss from too much rain. If you insist, nature is Shiva, creator and destroyer. Angel and demon and you play the game by her rules or suffer the consequences of her counterpoint. This "university" has gotten an education on wildlife, it taught them a jolly good lesson, and it serves them jolly well right.

...not so good for controlling Deer population. They did learn something though and maybe won't try that or something like that again somewhere else. :D

This is what they are doing in my area ,you can volunteer to shoot them with a tranquilizer gun if you want ,not for me i want to eat them http://hastingsgov.org/Pages/HastingsNY_WebDocs/Deer/DeerFeedingStationDescription.pdf
