Recycling is a joke here in Southern Oregon. No glass, no shredded paper, only recently did they start taking magazines and miscellaneous paper. Only corrugated cardboard and the boxes must be broken down, and the only plastic is threaded bottles, no caps, labeled 1 or 2. Clean tin cans.
Now where we lived before they had a recycle station. A huge roll-off for glass, one for commingled which was most paper products unless they were waxed, plastics, tin, and aluminum, and a third for corrugated cardboard. There was also a spot for batteries, used oil, and antifreeze.
That’s the difference between recycling solely to make a profit, or recycling to be environmentally responsible.
