Birdshead Flattop?

Hello,
I'm considering/weighing the possibility of doing a birdshead grip conversion to my NM 4 5/8" blued Flattop 44 Blackhawk. Has anyone here heard of this being done to a NM Flattop? This seems like it would be an ideal package considering the balance of size between the grip and the trim FT cylinder frame. What say you?

Go for it...easily done conversion.

However, it is difficult to improve on the balance of that gun as it came from the factory...as it is near perfect in that configuration.IMO

And that is the rub... The XR3 grip frame that is on it is about perfect already... It would almost seem a waste. Maybe I'll convert my NM Blackhawk instead and leave the FT alone. I'm torn!

Try it...the conversion is just as easy to undo as it is to do.

If you do not like it...convert the NM Blackhawk.

I like it on my old model 22.

But if I did it one my 44 FT, I'd modify the SBH Hunter grip frame to a birdshead.
