Hey guys/gals! Thanks a lot for posting! I am glad it took and takes some of ya back. I do have to appreciate the digital age now and again for these pictures and the forum to post on and share. I have only the memories really of my youth, maybe some old albums in mom n dad's attic....
Anyways, let me see if I can comment on some of you all's comments as well:
@ Rick Courtright, Fox Mike, gunman42782, WendyZXZ, welder, 45Colt_Man, RugerHound, rugnelli, contender, It was and it was great to see her enthusiasm for the sport and the recreation, hell even our forums as we heard some action on the north side and it was funny how she commented, "Dad, I wonder if that is any of the guys from your 'Dear Gun Friends' websites?" Lol, Dear Gun Friends with finger air quotes! That made me laugh. When "they" took a break, while we took a break for lunch, she again wondered if they were eating lunch too as they began to shoot again when we did.
@ 45Colt_Man, thanks, the tarp works great and just so happens to have a matching blue wally world bucket in photo by ice chest for the tarp to fold up and be poured into and sorted at home. Also, if weather gets bad or you get stuck in your spot for an extended stay, you have a bit of cover to work with.
@ Don Lovel, thank you and glad I could throw in some evidence, lol! I can still rmember my step dad getting me my first horny toad back in california when he took me on one of his construction jobs on some custom home developments way up in the hills and that little guy was awesome! I was completely taken back when this little one ran up on us as they are almost "gone" form sight out here much any more! Amazing stuff right there. She was reeled while I was telling her the story of my first, too. She loves her grandpa(s) very much. Now, if'n your after another girlfriend, you better be looking for another job, lol, they ain't cheap I've heard. That is, unless she is the second job, lol. I have had to show my better half many a things that she was unaware of and I am so very glad I did and I have kept her around, or she's kept me around.
I am glad we could interject some down right good old fashioned American Dream stuff and get a chance to show that America still has a fighting chance in our youth!
Her mother, a Tech Sgt in the Air Force has her doing all kinds of cool things all the time as well like re-planting cactus in the desert S. of Tucson, they stay active and run races in Tucson and surrounding areas for benefits and charities with her step sister and step-dad, too, another great guy and gal, BTW. Her stepmother has kept her on the straight n narrow as well for the last nine years as well as taught her the art of fine cooking and excellent manners. Her teacher has asked us if ok to get her involved in a Future Leaders of America program her school has, the teacher has her aiding other students with work and has her grading certain assignments to help out as well. She's received the Principles Award and has straight "A's" thus far.
Me, the "mom's" and step-dad will keep at this, lol.
Thanks again everyone and I will do my best to get the videos of her shooting and wheelin' up asap. Have a great day, all!
@ Viking Queen, thanks and here's some pictures of her and I coming up just like you remember from last year. Picked her and I up this 1972 Super Beetle last year and we've been tinkering with it off and on. Got new tires, totally road worthy now and she can get Bill the Bug started all by herself now, just need to work on the gears. She and I have had good times fishing, too. Need to find those pictures, lol:
@ Xsales, thanks and I got some mags that you hooked ol Bedrockfred up with for a Mark I Ruger 22 some time ago. You've tried to help me a time or two since then finding more. Thanks, she's been what has kept me grounded since I brought her home from Del Webb and laid her into her nursery that Mom and I built together. Wouldn't change a thing!
