Last Saturday Icame down with a severe sinus infection. Saturday, being what it is, meant two days of getting worse. And, I'll tell y'all right now, no pharmacy has anything over the counter that will be of much help. Finally I went to a minor medical clinic to get some real medicine. When I went in the receptionist said, "The morgue is down the street." Nor really, but I'll admit I did look really bad. So now its Thursday and the medicine is beginning to take effect. I can see much better now without the watery eyes. As @caryc said recently, "Im retired and can do pretty much as I please" or words to that effect. Well, I did nothing. I kicked back in my reclinder and dozed at will.

You're not the only one. Worst time of the year for sinus infection, went all winter without being sick. Almost a week long deal for me, wifey had it too. :(

Last Month (end of April) I had been feeling a pretty "punk" so Finally called my son to please come down Wednesday to baby sit Duke Dog and after he arrived headed to the VA ER. Was called in in less than 5 min and then after thumping , listening and ex ray, got told that I had pneumonia and was being admitted as soon as a bed opened up. Spent Wed, Thurs and Fri in my room getting meds etc; Dont know how they managed but without fail about 5-10 minutes after a trip to the latrine, they showed up wanting a Urine sample. During an earlier experience, I learned from a Doc at the VA that it wasn't Penicillin I was alert to; that as youngster is was most likely the carrier fluid. HMMM he was right; Scratch Penicillin off my list of allergies.

Get well soon, Bob. We NEED you around here. ;)

"Get well soon, Bob. We NEED you around here."

Sinus infections can be pretty miserable. Glad you are getting some relief now.

Mr. Wright. Glad to have you and Colonialgirl back. Hope you are all doing much better, and can return to regular duty soon. I also had a touch of sinus problems, but not nearly as bad as y’all did. I know it’s miserable for sure.

We have United Health Care to supplement out Social Security. This year they added a mobil DR service that will come to the house for $10 copay. Thought I had sinus infection water eyes, drainage, pain around eyes and pressure around eyes.
Call told service would here between 2pm and 4pm. Got a call was here at 2:15 pm.
Checked temp, listened to my heart, took blood pressure and tested for Covid.
Bingo I won the prize, I tested positive for Covid.
Gave me a script for antibiotic but nothing for Covid. I was lucky did not get into my lungs.
5 days later called them again for my wife. She was positive, too.

I am sorry to learn that Bob, Colonial Girl & Toyman have been having problems. I am glad to learn that all have gotten the care they needed & are on the mend now.
