Bearcats anyone?

Just noticed my usual haunt has 7 used Bearcats listed. :shock: One's an alpha.

Just weird seeing the trends in what gets on the used shelves there. Be a big availability of Single Sixes for a bit then SBH's then MK pistols... I've never seen this many used Bearcats there before, or in one shop for that matter.

Any Bearcats trends anywhere else?

I've seen maybe 2 Bearcats (Old Models) in Wyoming gunshops in the past 30 years. At the "few and far in-between" gun shows one does indeed encounter a 'cat or two!

saw two at the show this weekend, bought them both...no boxes sad to say.

Are any of those 7 stainless I would not mind finding one at a reasonable price.

Not since the 70's have I seen many preowned Bearcats for sale, neither OM or NM, and no Super Bearcats, not in any of the gunshops or at any gun shows I've been to. The Cats are just a model most folks don't want to let go once they have them I guess.

After I got my Super Cat (soon after they came out) I didn't use my two earlier Bearcats much anymore. So I did eventually sell them direct to old friends. They still had them last I heard.

One of my usual stops has two on the used rack right now, as well as a new one. They also have three used MK pistols. A few months ago they had three or four Security and Service Sixes. I agree that there seems to be trends.

I guess it's also possible that they could have recently bought up an estate of a collector?

How many are you gonna take home?

I've been tempted by the alpha one (ser # C525) but pass. I have my one little B'cat the wife bought me and I'm happy with that one.
All blued ones, a few older ones I think. Nothing spectacular. $300-$425

The wife picked up 2 Alpha's, H and V, at last years December 3 day show in Phx. "H" gun is a shooter and our 10 yr old grandaughter had a ball shooting it yesterday.
