No lie, I remember back in the late 60's the NH Fish and Game Closed Bear Season.
Many orchards and Apples here in the Northeast, any way the conditions were just right,
apples were fermenting on the ground becoming hard cider more or less. Make a long story
short the bears were getting drunk. Took a few weeks for the dept figured out why the bear kill
was so high, It was because the bears were high! Bear seem to like there alcohol.

Critters like to get high! There is a fruit tree in Africa where the fruit ferments as powder smoke relates. I've seen videos of monkeys and elephants eating the fermented fruit and getting literally falling down drunk.

Look at cats and catnip.

Koalia Bears get high as kites on eucalyptus leaves.

I guess the elephants see pink people.

I READ in a sports magazine this past weekend that the rassler, Andre' the Giant, once set down and drank 150 beers. Of course when you are 7'2" and 500 lbs it is tough to get a serious buzz-on !!

Wow ! Glad he ain't raiding my 'frig ! Learned to eat grits at his "camp", Giants Camp, a hole in wall diner at the rt41 overpass, and Alifia River crossing. Walking distance many of my family. Flooded right now, sis-n-law 100yds from, can't flush toilets, septic system awash.

/\The camp you are referring to is Al Tomaini's, not Andre the Giant's. Your reference made me curious which is why I looked it up. Tomaini was 8' 4.5" tall!
