barrel twist

bought a mossberg mvp patrol rifle last week, interesting short barreled rifle. it has a 1 in 10 twist rate. been shooting a 62 gr fmj for barrel break in. been getting good accuracy with iron sights. what would be the range of bullets, by weight, that will stabilize in this rate of twist?

It should have a 1:9 twist, unless Mossberg changed it recently. It should stabilize most bullets up to 68gr, although some of the really long plastic tipped boat tails and lead free slugs in the heavier weights might not work. A friend of mine has one, and he has been able to get decent groups with several bullets from 52-68 gr.
