I just found out that Model 96-22 barrel bands are NOT the same as 10-22 bands.

Apparently I just bought the last one available from Jack First. Very expensive BTW.

I think they are the same as the 10/22 Magnum barrel bands.

According to Ruger the 96-22/96-22mag bands are different from any other model. I know they are significantly different from a standard 10-22 band(at least now anyway). They are no longer made and Jack First was the only place that had one which I bought.

The 10/22M bands are significantly different from the standard 10/22 band as well.

I'm not a bit surprised to learn there are three (or more ~ Police Carbines has a band as well) different shapes/sizes rather than two.
