I picked this pretty set of stocks up at a recent gunshow. They were marked "K-frame S&W"....well, I did not take time to look in side and when I go home I see they do no fit a K-frame. The RSS3 inside the stocks makes me think they may fit a Ruger??

Any ideas?

If I get some positive I.D. that they fit a Ruger, I'm going to throw them up here on the Forum as a give-a-way. I just want to make sure I'm accurate in my description...don't want to have the lucky winner unable to put them on his revolver!

Looks like a Ruger double action.
Service Six, Security Six or a Redhawk.

Don't know if people will view this as a problem or not, but the Ruger wood stocks have a cut out at the bottom so you can see the serial number that is on the bottom of the grip frame.

If I'm wrong about this, certain people will pipe up.

The stocks you are showing would cover the serial number. I'd at least advise buyers of that and let them decide.

I have a set of Nil Griffe stocks on my Redhawk that cover the ser#. If someone has an issue 30 seconds with a small screwdriver makes it a non issue.

I have also flown with the gun in this configuration multiple times....never a problem.

I'm guessing Redhawk too but ..... one never knows.

Not RH - it has a bushing at the bottom, so there are supposed to be cavities for the bushing lacking on these grips.

FWIW, Herrett has marked Security/Service Six grips "RSS". I don't know who made these.
