Wanting them for my new MK IV Target , I don't like the black plastics one on the new Target . Edit > these are listed for a MK IV , does everything look right that should fit MK IV Target ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/172455469370?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Those look like the same Altamont-made OEM grips being sold at the ShopRuger web site but they are out of stock on the Ruger site.

That e-bay listing says they fit the MkII, MkIII and the MkIV but the Ruger listing specifically says they do NOT fit the MkI, II or III ONLY the MkIV. The e-bay listing also seem to be in error in describing some of their other grip types as fitting the both the MkIV and earlier model and, again, both Ruger and Altamont say that isn't correct. I'd be very careful ordering from this site and be sure of their return policy.

As noted, the OEM grips are made by Altamont which currently offers wrap-around grips for the MkIV on their web site but not plain panel grips yet. I'm also waiting for the MkIV panel grips from Altamont as some very attractive designs are made by them for the earlier Marks.

i took a chance , he emailed me back , said they would for sure fit , all the notches in the pic match my black plastic ones on the Target model , and looked like he did have a return policy , hopefuly there right .

Let us know when they arrive and if they fit. If your experience is good, I'll order from them too.

I really probably should not chime in, but I will.

I ordered a set of Mark IV grips off of eBay for a Mark III (Hunter Grips). The add said they were seconds, cut to thin for the Mark IV but would fit the Mark III. Sure enough they fit the Mark III just right. The only thing that I did do to them was take some wood filler and fill the back side of the right grip where the Mark IV right side safety button would have been. They work great and look great even with the filler.

So they will interchange I believe. I do not know what they meant about being cut to thin though.
