I'm I in a pretty good apple area and faves are all the ones that are "baking apples." We had one years ago at home that I cannot find anywhere. I'm not sure if we gave a local name or if it is a disappearing variety.
We called it a Snow Apple. A good tart apple with snow white flesh and some faint pink streaks in it. I don't truly remember the skin but I think it was mottled red/green like a mac. Does this ring any bells?
