A while back, I picked up a pound of Alliant's MP-300 because it was available and I was out of Lil' Gun and low on H100 and unable to find either one. Life got busy and I really never had much chance to try it out. My main intended use is in .44 Mag, with some going to .357 and .22 Hornet and maybe .30 Carbine. There is not much load data that I can find, some on the Alliant website and that's about it. Have any of you had much experience with it? It seems like it's properties and charge weights are similar to H110 and Lil' Gun (although I would never try to interchange data!). The pressure is off now to use it, as I scored a #4 can of Lil' Gun recently, but I'd still like to experiment with it since I have it.

MP-300 works well for the .45 Colt, 44 Mag and 357, I have not tried it in the Hornet yet. I have had better results with Standard primers, also seems a bit slower than 296-H110. As with the powders above, good neck tension is the key.

My experience has been in .45 colt and .480 Ruger. For me I had much better results for the heavy for caliber bullets and near full to full case charges
