That's a neat tool!
I can see some applications for it. But,, in doing a lot of tree work for people,,, around homes,,, the tracked vehicle, as well as the space needed for the chips etc to fall can be a bit of an issue to do safely & without other damage to lawns, houses etc.
Still one heck of a quick way to remove a tree.

Those have been in use for some time use to call them a Brontosaurus.
A guy from Goffstown NH Invented it, John Brown back in the late
70's or early 80's. He cleared power lines for the electric Companies.
Went to high school with his son. He Made him tons of money with it. ps

That sure ain't a DR Field & Brush Mower. :shock:
They used the attachment like that on a front end loader when they were doing powerline
right of way maintenance out here,but just for the smaller stuff.
It wouldn't reach the taller stuff,and the guy wouldn't leave me the keys at the end of the day. :roll:

My friend has one of those heads on an excavator and it is a beast.
His is mostly used for customers that want to trim limbs on large trees and underbrush back with an occasional tree being removed.

The Road Department used one of those while clearing brush along the ditch on our road, It ATE EVERYTHING ! They later used it to trim the limbs over hanging the road. The guy running it had a little dog of some sort that sat there in the cab with him the whole time; he said it was his constant companion and wouldn't let him out of the house alone.
