Anybody Reloading 380's

I just received my brass and starting to de-prime. Not sure yet what powder to use for these with a 100 gr. bullet. I use Unique for loading 9 mm but first time for these.

I've been using Bullseye with no problems for the 380.

I use win-231. What exact bullet do you have? There are a few threads just in the 1st page or 2 of this section.

I'm using Berry's round nose jacketed 100 gr.

Unique will be fine since you are using it for 9mm

I shoot 95 gr JHP and 93 gr cast HP from my 380s. Good loads for my guns with Titegroup, Power Pistol, HP-38/W231, and SR-4756.

I loaded some up with AA #2 and it works just fine.

I've loaded some for Son's Taurus TCP using Titegroup. Seemed to work fine. One pound of powder will last most a lifetime through a .380.

Got the stuff ready for the fist thousand. I'm gonna try 4.4 of unique first cause I have 6 pounds of it.

100gr FMJ bought in bulk. I do not know the manufacturer. I have not loaded any yet cause my Tarus .380 is at my gunsmith's. It developed a feeding problem. While it is covered under warrenty I chose to let my guy have at it.

Handloader Mag had a good article about a year ago on loading for the LCP. I had been using abt 3.5g of W231 but increased it to their tested 4.0g and now get real close to 1000fps with 95g berry's or xtp's

I shot five boxes of these one day and got a sore hand ..
Also shoot them in my CZ-83

I load .380, .38, .357, .45 and shotgun shells all with Hodgdon Clays. Keeps my life simple, all I have to worry about is the drop weights.

I've tried AA#2, Unique and Titegroup. I like Titegroup the best. I like the Xtreme bullets s well. The Titegroup seems to have a recoil which is less sharp than the others producing the same velocity.

I'm going to start with 4.4grs Unique with a 100gr bullet. This is a load I found in a 72-74 era Speer reloading book and I happen to be sitting on several pounds of Unique. According to the book is should produce a little above 1000 fps. I will try a few first before I commit.

Started reloading yesterday using Bullseye 0.3 with a 100 gr. jacketed bullet. The first 6 didn't blow up the gun or my hand so I'll load some more tomorrow and shoot some targets to see what the spread looks like.

Took my reloads out and shot about 200 rounds with only one that jammed. Not too bad since it was towards the end and the gun may just have been dirty. The spread was within 6" which may be just me getting used to the long trigger pull of the LCP. I'm impressed with the loads and confident that I could easily put a group in someones chest at 15 yards if the need arises.
