I know many have had ungodly hot weather this summer. While Maryland has been hot at times it’s been a relatively normal summer. Today has been the first feels like fall day. I woke up to 55 degrees with no humidity and a nice breeze. A good sailing day if I had a sailboat.

We had our share of heat this summer. In this area it doesn't often get over 100, but when it is 98 degrees and the dew point is 80. it is somewhat difficult to spend much time outdoors. We get a lot of 'feels like' weather. Humidity just makes things worse. The funny thing is, the guys originally from south of the border are up on roofs shingling with hoodies on or long sleeved shirts. Locals are in wife beater shirts, shorts and hats.

The guys in hoodies won't have to worry about skin cancer.

The roofers, lawncare crews, etc. here in FL wear thin clothing with high SPF ratings, face coverings and wide brimmed hats.

We loved the rain yesterday and today as well as temps that were 15 degree plus lower that the past few months. Finally feeling like Fall is arriving soon!

Missed thunderstorms, rain, hail, and wind the other day. Dry here, as can expected in the desert. At least it didn’t hit 110

It's called weather. It changes daily, year to year and eon to eon. Don't like the weather, wait a bit and it will change. That's right, climate change. As said the climate changes day to day, year to year and eon to eon. With all of the serious things to worry about in this world, worrying about something you can't change seems stupid.

Outdoor construction workers know that long-sleeved clothes, and particularly sweatshirts or flannel shirts, are best for outdoor work. Why? First they trap the moisture (sweat), and then when the wind blows that sweat super-cools their skin. I learned this from a Mexican concrete crew in the early 1960s when I was working on a cross-section survey crew (a summer job) for the Texas Highway Department as they built the I-635 loop around Dallas. After two weeks of burning up I, too, started wearing an old flannel shirt and became a believer.

It's been normal around here, seems every month has 4 seasons with some weeks doing the same and coming up soon it will be every day. Makes choosing your "outfit" complicated.

Was sorta hot in KY this summer but we had decent rain. Right now I’m in the mountains backpacking stuck in my hammock in a monsoon. And when we are out this morning there was not a chance of rain.
