So a gun dealer had a Ruger Compact in 243 he had ordered for someone who never picked it up. Since my wife wanted a rifle I said lets take a look. We got for 150.00 less than his asking. I thought it was a good deal even though it have a couple of dings on the stock. I brought it home and found it had Allen Head screws...honestly. I teared up a little at the site of them. I have always thought these would be great in my Rugers. This is a new gun maybe 1 year or so old since the shop had it banging around. When did Ruger start this practice and can I get action screws for my other guns?

Couple other notes: the barrel looks great and doesn't feel rough inside when cleaning, crown is great and the triggers was a consistent 5 pounds. I dropped in a lighter spring and viola 3 pound pull with no creep...actually breaks really cleanly.
The stock was another issue, the barrel was in contact all the way down. Yes I will bed it and relieve it.
