I'm glad it worked out for her. Seems like so many times, the "dirt bags" are the winners. Conceal Carry & and Knowing How to Use Your Weapon are good things !

That was a feel good story! :D But, 4 shots at the perps and no blood or bullet holes? The whole story just doesn't add up at all as it's written. I'm glad she's ok, but I can't help but think that her story stinks.

Been woken out of a sound sleep and had to fire fast at multiple assailants before have you, Cholo? I have. Comment after it happens to you...

1980. I was house-sitting for a friend in his old house, then under renovation. A noise woke me up at 3AM. I sat up to see two men in the room and a third climbing in an open window. I grabbed my 4 3/4" Blackhawk .357 and yelled, "Freeze or I shoot!" One lunged towards me, and I fired 3 shots (fastest 3 shots I have ever fired from a SA, before or since) and they were all out the window before I could fire another. No bullet holes found and no blood -- but they were all arrested shortly thereafter when they took one of their number to the local ER where two officers who were there checking up on a person injured in a wreck took an interest in the fellows coming in, one with a gunshot wound to the thigh. They had items stolen from the house's attached garage, and two guns, in their car. Oh, and the unaccounted-for bullets? One was found eventually in the middle of a roll of fiberglass insulation that was standing in the corner of the room, and another had entered the wall and lodged behind the molding around the window. It had entered at an odd angle, and the hole was not apparent until the molding was removed as part of the renovation. Weird stuff happens.

pisgah, that's one hell of a story, and I'm glad you lived to tell the tale  That still doesn't change that the story, as written, doesn't pass the smell test.

Reminds me of an old Dragnet TV episode where the cop is swearing that the guy in the room shot at him before he shot back but no bullet hole found and I think the guy ran or something after being shot and no gun found.... finally at the end of the show somebody sees a strange pencil line on a shelf on the wall and lifts the shelf up and the hole and bullet are directly behind the shelf.

Of course I fired a 38 into the floor of a car when I was a teenager and never found a hole or the bullet.
