American bolt

Has anyone had a American bolt lug break out at the extractor cut? A friend with a .243 is on the second bolt and it's starting to bulge after only 25 rounds.

The second bolt is Remington factory 100grn core locks. I looked at a 308 bolt that has over 500 rnds through it, and it's like new.

I can't say that I really understand what you are describing. Breaking and bulging are two different things. Do you have a picture of any of this?

I would like to help, but cannot understand what it is you need answered. I imagine I'm notthe only one in this situation.
