Was looking at the serial number of the new (old) Standard recently bought and noticed that the serial number was seriously out of alignment. I wonder how many before and after were so stamped.

Not a totally uncommon thing. That kind of marking has created a lot of discussions when it comes to certain collectables.

I can tell you that this pistol is anything BUT a collectable. It's a shooter that I just restored to 'shoot ability'.
