My brother went to work for Martin Marrietta. One of his first jobs was to write radar manuals down to an 8th grade level. It was very frustrating for him as his boss would say, Dumb it down some more. 8th grade is not 8th grade everywhere.

Wonder what the make of the engine is? I spent my career at an engine manufacturer. Parts were designed so they couldn’t easily be installed incorrectly. Simple things like notches and dowel pins plus frequent inspection intervals can insure build integrity.
I would suspect fake parts or an engine rebuilt by an uncertified third party. I know of several instances where an aircraft engine was returned to one of our maintenance facilities and upon tear down pirated parts were found to have been the source of the problem and third party rebuild shops were used instead of a certified rebuild facility.
