Air Force flight suits

It is amazing how what used to be bad is now about to be good again. Years ago the US Army used a two piece flight uniform made of nomex. They "improved' it by going to the one piece "green bag" similar to that which the US Air Force used. Now is seems the Air Force wants to "develop" a two piece flight uniform. Why not 'reinvent' what we already have information on?

The problem seems to be the ease of emptying the female bladder. I pretty much lived in the one piece flight suit while on duty. It’s really not much harder to use the toilet for a man But women must slip out of the arms and pull it down.

So much for being treated the same. Nope no special accommodations for the fairer sex.

I asked my son about this when I was in Clovis a few weeks ago. He went to work in a two piece digitized uniform and I asked where the green one piece flight suit was. He said in his squad and in his wife’s squad the green suit is only Friday attire for all the pilots now. The rest of the time they fly in the two piece combat looking gear.

For quite a number of years now, female concert goers, faced with the general lack of sufficient "facilities" at many venues, have taken to the use of Depends or other "adult diaper" products. I've known a couple of male fly fishermen who spend long times in float tubes in rather chilly Sierra lakes, in their "bib overall" style waders, which make things a might bit inconvenient, who've borrowed this "new technology" from the ladies. Just saying: we may be trying to solve a problem which has already been solved... and at very little cost, too!

Not a physics expert, but in realty with little modification of the one piece suit I think women could learn to adapt and actually not have to drop the suit. I still remember the first time I watched a women stand at a urinal and pee. They actually can do it.

That's actually what I was kind of leaning toward.. with all the women now in the air force as well as other branches of the service... if they want a one piece suit then just make a female version.... I mean with all the money we give our military.... it could not cost more than say 5 or10 million to develop a proper once piece flight suit.
